I have always been a phone "ring" user, but when I got my iPhone 12 mini SMARTISH wallet phonecase, I didn't see any rings that would compliment the case while making it look stylish. I came across this strap, which seemed like it was made for the same purpose as the ring, and saw the blue color that I thought would go seamlessly with the new case.I used this for about two days and replaced it with another case and another ring (I'm a die-hard ring user...).Issues that I've experienced are as follows:1. The adhesion isn't strong on the SMARTISH case - the case has raised texture, which makes it hard for this strap to stick on to - when I put this on a random, flat, plastic surface, it stuck on so well that when I tried to remove it, the adhesive tape was still stuck onto the plastic. If you have a case with any type of texture, this may not work well for you.2. It didn't really "fit" the SMARTISH case. It could be the fact that the iPhone mini doesn't have a lot of surface area, but it sticks out a bit when you try to align it right at the edge of where the cards go in and out. (see pic).3. It's awkward to hold and use as you browse through your phone. It's great for a quick grab of the phone and to prop your phone up in landscape mode, but if you are holding your phone any more than five minutes, you quickly find that there is no support from the strap on where your fingers go and you end up folding the strap down and just gripping your phone.4. There is no rotation/adjustment option. If you wanted to prop your phone up in portrait mode, you are out of luck. You can't do that with this phone strap. If you want to rotate it just a little so you can grab it with your left hand instead of your right (vice versa) you can't.
